I woke up this morning and completely panicked (not that I do that often). It was Friday already and I had barely done anything productive with my week - other than get the flu, gain three pounds, and nearly spend all the money in my bank account. As you can tell, I lead a very interesting life!

During a conversation with my lovely mummy we both came to the conclusion that during the week we fall into this repetitive routine, that just doesn't stop. So we both came to the conscious decision to make it stop. After recovering from the flu on Wednesday my little sister put her glad rags on and trotted off to her Halloween disco, so me and my mum went into town for a cosmopolitan....or two...or potentially even three (I forgot after the second). It gave me the opportunity to spend some quality time with my mum, which I feel I never get, and you'll be surprised how much you reflect on yourself after a few vodkas. One of the things we started discussing is how much our lives have changed over the year. It's funny to think that this time last year I was a little Cumbrian gal feeling out of my depth after moving on my own to Surrey. It made me realise how much I miss home but at the same time how grateful I am for all the opportunities.

So after getting down in the dumps about being ill, I'm now better and I'm ready to continue to change my ordinary routine. Starting by a dinner date at Prezzo's with my gorgeous girls, where I can eat my body weight in food. Sorry what was that I said about gaining three pounds?! You've gotta prioritise right?

Love Aoife x
