So as we all sit down after a huge Sunday roast, and to scoff what is left of our Easter eggs, me and my family are about to delve into the scrummy Easter treats that I made today. It's fair to say I'm not really known for my baking skills, but today I attempted to make some mini egg brownies, and when they went hideously wrong, I decided to play it safe with some rice crispy cakes - again making the most of those mini eggs. My parents returned home after a relaxing walk to a flustered Aoife in the middle of a bombsite kitchen - I even needed an afternoon nap to get over my cake massacre. It was all worth it in the end because they are, surprisingly, yummy and I did give my friends a giggle sending them "damsel in distress" snapchats. Someone remind me never to enter a kitchen again.
