Nowadays it's so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we forget to have patience. This is something that I'm 100% guilty of. Living in a world where our dreams consist of landing a part on Made in Chelsea, and becoming the next reality TV star, as a quick fix to fame. It's so easy to lose focus on what really matters, and what our real goals are. We just want everything to happen all at once, rather than giving it time. I know I also have a tendency to get down in the dumps when it doesn't happen.

Being on holiday made me sit back and gain a little perspective on things. I was able to decipher what my real goals were, and what I truly want to achieve in my life. Writing down what I really wanted, made everything a lot clearer, and it then became apparent to me, you are not going nowhere, just because you haven't gotten where you want to go YET. Patience and perseverance is something my Mum and Dad always tried to drill into me, but as I got older, it kind of went out the window, resulting in me trying to rush everything all at once. What I've learnt is - life's a journey, not a race. Your goals and achievements should take a lifetime, and why wouldn't you want to give them that? Yes, you hear a lot of "no's" before you hear a yes, but that's all part of the process, and when you learn to enjoy it, it becomes one of the most beautiful journeys you can go on. So that's why I've learnt to have patience. Not just with my goals, but with my family, friends, relationships - and just life in general. Once I stepped back and let things happen a bit more naturally, I realised things were happening for the best - gosh I'm becoming very philosophical! So in the words of Take That: "Have a little patience."

Love Aoife xx
